This holiday symbolizes the second harvest and is also dedicated to the harvest (vegetables, fruits, grains). It falls on September 23rd. In the Slavic pagan tradition - New Year, this day is considered something like the modern “New Year” since for the Slavs the year ended with the harvest.
In the modern world, this holiday has remained in the Christian tradition of the Feast of the Savior, when the harvest is blessed.
Note: in Mabon, day and night are equal.
This holiday is the 3rd reference point in the Wheel of the Year (Autumn Equinox) - summing up certain results in life.
What is Mabon?
The holiday is named after an ancient Welsh hero named Mabon or Modron, which translates to “Son of the Mother.” Mabon is the second of three harvest festivals that take place in the Wheel of the Year. Like Apollo, Mabon was depicted as a handsome youth with a lyre. As a child, Mabon is said to have been held hostage in the underworld, as in the story of Persephone and Demeter.
Mabon is essentially a harvest festival. In the occult sense, a person will reap the fruits of what he has done.
Mabon is suitable for rituals that should rid you of bad relationships, unhealthy habits or self-destruction. This is also a great time to attract wealth and stability into your life.

Mabon in 2023 falls on Saturday, the day of Saturn.
Since the day of Saturn is our work with the World of the Dead, first of all, and also getting rid of all negativity, on this day it is perfect for cleansing and removing all negativity with a return on enemies.
Work in the graveyard and work with deceased relatives (rituals of supporting ancestral systems through deceased relatives) will work well. You can come and leave memorials on the graves of deceased relatives, asking them for support and protection. You can leave gifts to the Master and Mistress of the Cemetery. You can also reset the negative in the graveyard.
Note: If you are not strong in churchyard magic (beginner, amateur), then I do not recommend you use this method!
Also on this day, I recommend walking through Places of Power (Temples, forest glades, holy springs, etc.) in Nature and leaving thanksgiving gifts to the Spirits of Nature.
I strongly do not recommend doing flogging or destructive work on this day, since the day symbolizes summing up and retribution according to Justice.
The hours of Saturn on the day of Saturn are most suitable for strong rituals of cleansing, liberation from negativity and the removal of blocked paths.
I also remind you that Saturday is Saturn Day - a day of working with deities such as Saturn and Hecate.
Plants of the day: pansy, morning glory, mullein, cypress and mimosa.
Tarot cards that correspond to Saturday: Temperance, Knight of Swords, Two of Swords.
I wish you successful magical practice and all the best!
