In this article, we will discuss with you the healing and protective properties of Palo Santo incense, the aroma of which has the universal property of not only cleansing and harmonizing space, but also awakening people’s creative abilities and calming their psyche.
Palo Santo is a block of wood that grows in South America. Its name is translated from Spanish as “holy tree.” In terms of value and properties, it is equal to sandalwood and incense. Its smoke has a sweetish, pleasant smell because the tree contains guaiac oil, which is also often used in perfumery and cosmetology.
Note: The smoke of this incense not only has occult and magical properties to cleanse space and drive out evil spirits, but also has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antiseptic, soothing and immunostimulating properties.
Where can you use Palo Santo smoke?
As I said above, this is a unique and universal incense that is suitable for a wide range of magical works and spiritual practices from meditation to cleaning the room after cleansing rituals. It can be used:
- for cleaning premises from negative energy;
- for cleaning jewelry or household items;
- for the consecration of talismans, amulets and other things;
- for cleaning communication equipment (mobile phones, computers, etc.) after contact with unpleasant people;
- to harmonize the space as a whole and work areas;
- to restore your own energy after quarrels, contacts with negative people and energy vampires;
- during the treatment of depression, panic attacks and other things;
- illuminate the bed to prevent nightmares;
- during meditation;
- during rituals;
- while working with a mantle (pendulum, Tarot cards, etc.);
- even to expel mosquitoes and other insects that cannot stand its smell.
How to light Palo Santo correctly?
This incense takes the form of a wooden block or sliver with a pleasant aroma, the wood of which is impregnated with oils. Therefore, the block should be lit on one side, bringing it to the candle flame. It flares up instantly, so follow fire safety rules. Let it flare up for 30-40 seconds, and then extinguish it with a sharp movement of your hand.
The block should be set aside on a special incense stand or placed in a ceramic or iron bowl, where it will smolder, emitting thick, sweet smoke.
With the smoke from the incense you can cleanse and consecrate all necessary items before or after rituals. Fumigate the premises by walking counterclockwise from the entrance doors, paying special attention to the corners where negative energy is concentrated and collected. You can also fumigate tools, such as a deck of Tarot cards, before performing mantic work. You can also place a protective circle around yourself by fumigating your body.
Note: Palo Santo smoke is a good remedy for emergency relief and repelling energy attacks.
To do this, just fumigate your head with incense smoke counterclockwise, saying:
“I cleanse myself of all negativity, confusion, attacks, inspired thoughts! Let it be so!"
This procedure is good to use if you suddenly feel bad, negative memories come over you (you are replaying a recent conflict in your head), you feel anger, anger, resentment, or you talked with a negative person who hit you energetically. The smoke of Palo Santo temporarily neutralizes the negative impact on you and your mind will be cleared. After this procedure, your energy will be restored. Next, protect yourself.
